Life's a Garden...

Dig it!

Popping in tonight to share a card I made for the March Stamp of the Month Challenge over at From the Heart Stamps.  I usually don't wait to the last minute to post my monthly card, but this month was so packed with activities, I found myself running behind.

Anyway, March SOTM is Digging Dog.  This set has 2 images and 8 sentiments, it's really cute!  Oh and it's great for a man's card too! There are many other cute images that can be found in the SHOP .  Check it out and play along next month, everyone who plays will receive the next SOTM FREE!

My card starts with a Kraft base, layered with pattern paper from a 6" x 6" pad from Doodlebug Design, Inc. called Hip Hip Hooray.  I love the bright colors in this pad.

I colored the dog using the following Copic markers:  Blender, B23, B32, B50, C-0, C-7, E31, E33, E35, E37, E50, G14, R05, R22, R32, RV10, RV13, Y15, Y38, YG06, YR04

I used my dies from Spellbinders to cut out the image and sentiment.  To finish the card, I added a ribbon bow and yellow glitter sprinkles from Doodlebug

I hope you like my card, and feel free to leave a comment.  Make sure to check back tomorrow, as I have my Design Team card over at Kitty Bee's Aloha Friday Challenges.  I've been continuing to practice my hair techniques and really love the card I will be sharing.

Thanks for coming by,

Karen

Oh Happy Day...

A Baby is on the Way!

I love this sentiment, as it can be used for either a boy or a girl

Here's my monthly SPOTLIGHT post, as a Design Team member for Kitty Bee Designs

I made a little Baby Boy card, using Gello Giraffe Toy image

FUN image and perfect for a boy - right?

I decided to use primary colors - they are so bright and cheery!

My card base is a yellow A2 card with the fold at the top, along the 4.25" edge.  I layered with paper scraps from my stash, working with primary colors - Blue, Yellow and Red

The image was colored using the following Copic markers:  Blender, B00, B02, E22, E27, E35, E53, Y08, Y11, Y15

Finishing touches for this card includes a sentiment, red brads and yellow tabs.  Quick and easy!

Sketch #142 (see sketch below) the TWIST this week:  Use a BIG sentiment

Here's my card, inspired by the sketch

I started with a grey card base, added paper from 6" x 6" paper pad from My Minds Eye called "Love Me", following the sketch pattern

I used one of the sentiments from the Prickles says Hello set found in the SHOP.  Make sure to check out the shop, as there are many new spring images, and they are cute!

I finished the card by adding a stitched heart cut from a Memory Box die and pink candy buttons

Take Time to...

Enjoy life's simple joys!

Today's card:  My Design Team, Mid Inspiration post for Challenge #66
Theme - In the Garden
for the Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs

Our sponsors for this challenge are...

Oddball Art Co. - Etsy shop and Blog

Crafts and Me - Etsy shop and Blog

My card is a 5.5 x 5.5 easel card using yellow cardstock for the base. I used a light blue patterned paper, from my stash for layers.

Copic markers:  Blender, C-1, B23, B60, E000, E00, E02, E53, RV13, RV21, RV29, and Y11, Y21, YG00, YG06.  This image is from Oddball Art Co, called Skylar and Friends, "Signs of Spring" No. 204 and can be found HERE.  This image has many little areas to color, so I was stressed big time while coloring.  I took my time and got it done!  I rather like how it turned out.  What do you think?

My card was finished by adding a sentiment to the lower section, blue flowers with pink brad centers, and a blue ribbon bow.
