Let's get Basted...

Funny share today for the monthly challenge at Whimsie Doodles

The challenge theme this month - Pumpkins and/or Turkeys

I used the Let's Get Basted image found in the Holidays/Events Tab under Thanksgiving

HERE 

Here's my card...

I colored the image using the following Copic markers: C-0,C-3, E00, E02, E11, E31, E33, E35, E53, G21, R22, R27, R29, Y00, Y06, Y08, Y35, YG63, YR02, YR04, YR07

I started with a white A2 card base, layered with Kraft and fall patterned paper from my stash.  I finished the card with twine and buttons

Starts today:  Friday - November 16, 2012

Ends:  Thursday - November 29, 2012

Supplies used to create my card:

 

Gingham paper from Simple Stories 6 x 6 paper pad "Harvest Lane"

Solid papers from my stash of older Close to My Heart papers

Memento - Tuxedo Black

Copic markers

"So Grateful" - Close to My Heart, "Count your Blessings" from Jaded Blossom

for the scalloped edge I used "Just Because" cards, pg. 42 <Truck-s> cut at 3-1/2" trimmed

 

Finishing touches:

 

Machine stitched the banner and upper right corner of card

Added three brads, tiny 1" circle tag, jute and a matching safety pin

Gobble, Gobble

So excited to be posting today, my first post after coming back from a much needed break. 

I am still dealing with a lot of things that are causing some stress, but confident this too shall pass.

Thanks for your prayers everyone.

 

I missed creating and sharing my creations with all of you.  I miss my Design Teams too,

but know that the decision I made, although hard at the time, was the right decision for me.

 

For my sharing today, three little pumpkins I can use as a centerpiece for a table.

I think I am actually going to use them at my desk in the office at school.

Many staff stop at my desk daily looking for treats and this will be perfect, seasonal and fun!

 

I hope you enjoy my project as much as I enjoyed making and sharing it with you.
