Batty Girl...

Sharing a fun card for my Design Team inspiration over at Whimsie Doodles

Batty Girl image can be found in the SHOP under the Holidays/Events tab Halloween

My card starts with a 10.5" x 4.5" piece of purple cardstock I found in my scraps.  I am always trying to find a use for those scraps before cutting into another sheet, so this card is slightly smaller than normal half sheet, cut the long way, but it works!  I used additional layers of lime green and white.  I than layered 2 strips of Washi tape at the bottom of the white piece.

Batty Girl was colored using my Copic markers in the following colors:  BV00, BV02, BV04, BV13, C-0, C-1, C-3, C-5, E00, E02,YG00, YG03, YG06, YR02, YR04, YR07.  I really love the color combination of Purple, Orange and Green, it is so FUN!

To finish the card, I stamped the Batty for You sentiment from the Too Cute to Spook set from Jaded Blossom, then added a ribbon bow and tied on a lavender bat button from my stash of embellishments.  And finally, sequins.

Let's get Basted...

Funny share today for the monthly challenge at Whimsie Doodles

I colored the image using the following Copic markers: C-0,C-3, E00, E02, E11, E31, E33, E35, E53, G21, R22, R27, R29, Y00, Y06, Y08, Y35, YG63, YR02, YR04, YR07

I started with a white A2 card base, layered with Kraft and fall patterned paper from my stash.  I finished the card with twine and buttons

Today I am sharing my Inspiration card for Whimsie Doodles

I am using Pumpkin Abby, one of the New Releases found HERE

Here's my card...

I colored this cute image using my Copic markers in the following colors: E000, E00, E02, E21, E31, E33, E35, Y21, YG00, YG03, YG06, YR02, YR04, YR07, YR17, YR20, YR21

My card is a Kraft base, layered with orange patterned paper and lime green accents.  I cut the scalloped edge using my Cricut, circle punched a tab for the sentiment and added an orange button with a twine bow and then finished it off with white gel pen accents

Another Whimsie Doodles share this week - this time a NEW RELEASE image

I am using this cute little Scarecrow found in the What's New section of the SHOP

Here's my card...

I started with a white A2 card and layered with these fun patterned papers from a 6" x 6" pad by Lawn Fawn called Perfectly Plaid - Fall

The image is colored in the following Copic markers:  BG000, BG13, BG15, E00, E02, E31, E33, E35, Y35, Y38, YR04, YR07

I added a layer of burlap attached with black staples, cream colored pearls and tabs to finish the card

What the Crock?...

Sharing a quick card I made for my Design Team inspiration post at Whimsie Doodles

I am using this funny "What the Crock?" image in the Freebies section of the SHOP

Here's my card...

I went all out masculine making this card.  Colored the image with my Copic markers using C-0, C-1, C-3, the image is a little washed out in the photo - sorry :(

I found darker, coordinating masculine patterned papers in my stash to use.  To finish the card I added brads, and a banner wrapped with twine to give the card some texture.

I am using Balloon Leah found in People Digi's tab of the SHOP

Here's my card...

I started with a yellow cardstock A2 base, layered with blue pattern paper and added a strip of Birthday sentiment patterned paper from a 6' x 6' pad by Doodlebug Designs called "Hip Hip Hooray"

The image is colored with my Copic markers in the following colors:  B23, B24, B32, B60, E00, E02, E11, E18, E33, E53, R22, R27, R29, Y17, Y35, YR31

To finish the card I added a zigzag edge tag with a sentiment stamped in black ink, and 3 silver dots for a little sparkle

I am using the same image as I did at the beginning of the month

Why? She is cute and...

My printer wasn't working properly and the image was already printed, so there you go!

But she is cute!

She has Wings found in the People Digis in the SHOP

A sweet card using a white base and layering with green paper and dotted paper

I colored the image using my Copic markers in the following colors:

B000, E00, E02, E04, RV10, RV13, Y15, Y21, YG00, YG06, YR16

The card was finished using a "thanks" sentiment and green button tied with jute

She has Wings...

Today I have a card share for my Design Team inspiration over at Whimsie Doodles

I am using the image called She had Wings found in the People Digis in the SHOP

I think she is sweet!

I do not normally create Fussy cards, but when all was said and done...that is what this ended up as.

I layered paper over a white base, then added a scalloped circle I found in my box of Cricut cut, which I think works perfect for a Fussy card.

I colored the image using the following Copic markers:  Blender, B000, B00, B02, C-0, C-1, C-3, C-5, E00, E02, E33, E35, R11,R22, Y21

I then added pearls, lace trim and blue flowers.  To finish the card, I added a pink ribbon/bow

Believe in Yourself...

My card share today is for my Design Team inspiration post over at Whimsie Doodles

I am using the Leaping Unicorn from the Unicorn set found HERE

I really enjoyed coloring this image with pastels, as I usually use bright colors

And I love the way the card came out...

A simple layout and scraps from my paper box, resulted in a Magical Fun card...

I colored the image using the following Copic markers: B00, B02, C-0, RV10, RV13, V01, V04, Y02, Y08

I also used a White Gelly Roll pen to accent the mane and tail

I cut the image out using a circle die.  I then cut 3 clouds from a stitched die set and hi-lighted the edges with B00 marker.

The sentiment is part of the set and I created a banner for the card and finished with lavender sequins

When Life Gives You Lemons...

Make Margaritas...definitely good advice, especially on a hot Summer day!

My card today is for my Design Team Inspiration post for Whimsie Doodles

I am using this FUN image found in the Summer Fun Digis tab in the  SHOP

The image is called Margaritas

I started with a 11.5" x 4.25" yellow piece of cardstock, which I folded the long way to create an easel style card

I then layered with pattern paper and scalloped border from my scrap box that were perfect for a summer color theme, ocean and lemon yellow

The image was colored with my Copic markers using the following colors:  C-1, E21, E33, R22, R27, R29, Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08

I fussy cut the image and mounted to the additional layer of lemon yellow and white

The sentiment and red rhinestones finished the card

What a FUN card - I hope you like it and if you have Lemons - make some Margaritas!

I've Pollen for You...

I am using this sweet image called Pollen for You 

It can be found in the This and That section in the SHOP

More of a Valentine card, but what can be more summer than Bee's and Pollen?

My yellow A2 card base is layered with lighter yellow, cut with a honeycomb die pattern

This die set is called Distressed Baptisia Collage from Memory Box

There are 4 patterned corners to use, I couldn't wait to try the honeycomb on this card

Such a fun element for a card...Love it!

I colored the image using the following Copic markers:

 B00, C-1, C-3, C-5, G14, R22, R27, R29, Y08, Y15, Y17, YG00, YG06

Finishing touches: Sentiment banner, red button and twine

My share today...

My Design Team card for our monthly challenge at Whimsie Doodles

Theme this month - Life's a Beach!

I am using the Dig You image found in the Summer Fun Digi's tab in the SHOP

My card is a yellow A2 card base, folded easel style

I then layered with white cardstock and strip of fun patterned paper

from Echo Park 6" x 6" pad called "I Love Sunshine"

Using a die, I cut the sand mound from a paper I found in my scraps, perfect paper!

I colored the image in the following Copic markers: 

Blender, B00, B12, B23, E00, E02, E35, E53

R22, R27, R29, Y00, Y02, Y15, Y21, Y35

Finishing touches:  Red with white dots layered banner with blue button and jute

Here today with my Design Team inspiration post for Whimsie Doodles

I am using this fun image Without a Gnome
You can find this image and other Gnomes in the Shop in the People Digi's section

White A2 card with light yellow layer and black and white checkered patterned paper

The image was colored in the following Copic markers:  Blender, B00, B02, B05, C1, C3, C5, E00, E002, E11, E33R22, G14, R27, R29, Y06, Y15, Y17, YG06

I layered the image over bright blue paper, fussy cut the Gnome and grass and tucked the sentiment under the checkered layer.

My finishing touch - red gems

Add a Little Color...

to Every Day!

 

Today I am sharing my very first card I made as a Design Team member of...

Whimsie Doodles

 

I am now a Doodlelicous Diva!

 

For my card I am using Little Artist

She can be found in the SHOP under the People Digi's section

 

 

The monthly challenge is a color theme - Rainbow

So in keeping with that theme, I colored this cutie with my Copic markers

using all the colors of the rainbow

C-0, C-1, C-3, B00, B02, B05

E00, E02, E11, E33, R22, R27, R29

V12, V15, V17, Y08, Y15, Y17, Y21

YG00, YG03, YG06, YR02, YR04, YR07

 

My card is a white base, layered with lavender and a yellow scalloped trim

I added a black spotted paper strip and layered my image, cut from a oval die on top

To finish the card, I used a sentiment from The Alley Way stamps and ribbon bow

The final touch - colorful buttons in the colors of the rainbow

This Bud's for you...

I wanted to share a quick card I made for the March Challenge at Whimsie Doodles

 

The theme this month is: Calling all Critters (animals)

 

I decided to use "This Bud's for you!" found in the Freebie Section

The image was my very first Whimsie Doodles image used to make a card back in 2012

Check out the SHOP for many other freebies and other adorable and cute images

 

 

My base is a standard A2 white card, layered with sky blue and red, dotted paper strip

 

I colored the turtle using the following Copic markers:  Blender, B00, E31, R22, R27, R29, YG00, YG03 and YG06.  I then cut the image out and mounted on top of a 2.5" white circle die

 

The finishing touches: sentiment printed on white tag and tucked under the red, dotted strip and white, blue and red sequins

 

There's still one more week to join in the fun!  I hope you'll be able to link up a Critter card and remember to check out the Freebies for an image to use

I'm Lucky...

The card share today is for Whimsie Doodles monthly challenge

The February challenge theme is Fairy Tale Friends and can be found HERE

 

I found a really cute Leprechaun image in their shop called Feeling Lucky

 

 

My card is a standard A2 case, layered with yellow cardstock and green gingham, which I love to use

My image was printed and cut out using a 3" circle die  from my set from Spellbinders. 

 

I colored the using the following Copic markers: Blender, C-0, C-1, C-3, C-7, E000, E00, E11, E21, Y02, Y08, Y17, YG03, YG06, YG17, YR02, YR04, YR07 

 

I finished the card by adding 3 different size circles, punched from 3 complimentary colors.  I then added a jute ribbon/bow and some green adhesive rhinestones.

 

Quick and Easy and Oh so cute!

Whimsie Doodles DT Call

Whimsie Doodles is one of my favorite places to play in a challenge, because I simply love their images! Simple, easy to color, whimsical and they make me SMILE!  They are having a DT Call and I would so love to be a part of their Design Team. It feels like a fun and friendly place to hang out and I would really like to be a part of that?  Here's hoping I'll get a spot.

My Submission for the DT Call using this cutie, called Flower Girl and she is in the SHOP under the People Digi's tab...and she is a "FREE" image.  If you haven't had a chance to check out their images, get on over to the shop because there is a whole lot of cuteness going on.

My first year blogging in 2012, I used one of Whimsie Doodles "Freebie" image's to create and submit a card for a DT call for a new Challenge Blog, Digi Haven.  I made the team, but it saddens me to say that Denise, has since passed away from cancer, but she is fondly remembered when I think of this post from 2012 This bud's for you and our blog friendship, our giggles and laughter over instant messaging and emails.  This post is for you, Denise.  Because of your good nature, humor and attitude, you made my time at Digi Haven feel like I was part of a family. I think of you often and you are missed by many.

And for both my parents, who have passed on as well.  They both encouraged me to be creative and never stop doing what makes me happy, and I am doing what makes me happy!

My card is a standard A2 blue base, layered with paper from 6 x 6 pad by Doodlebug Design, Inc.,  called flower box

You have my Heart...

My card today is just a fun Valentine's Day card I made for the challenge over at

Whimsie Doodles

The monthly challenge for January - Hearts A Plenty, found HERE

 

The image I used is called Mailed my Heart, found on their FREEBIE page.  She is adorable and I enjoyed coloring her and practicing my black hair skills.

 

I used the following Copic markers:  Blender, C-0, C-1, C-3, C-5, C-7, BG000, BG01, BG05, and E000, E00, E02, RV02, RV04

 

The card is a standard A2 grey base with layers of paper from a 6 x 6 pad from Doodlebug Design, Inc. called Sweet Things.  I used my Cricut to create the bottom scalloped edge.

 

To finish the card, Stitched Hearts, a die from Memory Box, and a banner die and sentiment from My Favorite Things.

Snow Friend...

This morning I am sharing a card I made for the Whimsie Doodles monthly challenge. 

This month is a color challenge, which I find both challenging and inspiring.  It makes me stop and ponder, "what am I going to make", as well as, gets my creative thoughts flowing.  You will find the challenge HERE if you want to play along, you have until January 13.

My card is a standard A2 card using solid cardstock from my stash of paper.

I printed the image Snow Friends and sentiment, cut out circles using my Spellbinder Nestabilities circle die set.

The image was colored using the following Copic markers:  Blender, BG01, BG15, BV23, BV31, Y17, YR31

I ran the strip of aqua cardstock through my Cuttlebug, using the snowflake embossing folder.  I then rubbed Versa Craft White Pigment ink over the raised snowflake impressions.

The card was finished with a ribbon bow and Pretty Pink Posh, Clear Droplets.

This was a really great color combo, and I really like how the card turned out.
