Hello...

My share today is for the i {heart} sketches weekly challenge at From the Heart Stamps

The TWIST this week:  Make it Sparkle

 

Here's my card using the hedgehog from the Prickles says Hello set

You can find many other quirky and cute images in the SHOP

 

 

 

 

My card is a standard A2 card, covered with pattern paper (per sketch pattern).  I used paper from a 6" x 6" pad from My Mind's Eye called "On the Sunny Side"

 

The image was colored using the following Copic markers:

E21, E33, E35, Y00, Y02 and Y06

 

I also added white freckles using my Mitsubishi white pigment ink pen
 

I cut the image out and mounted on top of the white circle

Finished with red adhesive rhinestones for some SPARKLE

TSOT sketch #155 - HELLO

Today is Tuesday and that means I have a new sketch for you to try over at...

Our TWIST this week  - Hearts and/or Flowers

Here's my card...

 

Sketch #155

 

 

I started with a light green A2 cardstock base

Layered with Designer paper from American Crafts in a kit called Soho Garden

I used Cricut cartridge -Elegant Edges to cut my 2 -1/2" scalloped flower

And the Flower Shop cartridge to cut two, 1-1/2" leaves

I sponged ink around the edges of the scalloped flower and leaves

I also added black doodle lines along the edges

I finished the card by adding a treat cup from Stampin' Up that I had in my stash

The sentiment and beads are really old Close to My Heart that I used to complete the card

Sweet Hello

Today I am sharing a card I made for The Shabby Tea Room "Hi Ho Cherry O', week #101 challenge using this photo as my inspiration.  We have a very old cherry tree in our yard that doesn't produce many cherries anymore.  What is produced, the birds and raccoon's seem to eat before I get a chance to pick them. I sure love the springtime blossoms though and this challenge just made it feel like spring already.


To make this card:

I started with a light green A2 card base, added doily edges to both sides of the card. Striped and cherry pattern paper from my stash of old Close to My Heart papers were used in the project.  I was also so very excited that I exactly had a cherry stamp to use for this challenge, also from CTMH.


Cartridge used:

Elegant Edges page 65 <Flower3> using the oblong feature and shadow cut at 4"

To finish this card:

I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tea Dye to distress my doily and frame.  I stamped my image in the center of the frame, as well as on another piece of white cardstock.  I used a stencil/sponging technique to color my cherries and leaf.  I then cut them out and mounted them over the image stamped on the frame.  Other finishing details were to add Glossy Accents to the hi-light on the cherries, red baker twine to red buttons, and made a bow with the twine.  I also added the buttons to these little green flowers I received in a goodie box I purchased from The Crafts Meow Shop.
