With Gratitude

Good Morning everyone, thanks for stopping by today.  It is a beautiful Sunday morning in the state of Washington, with sunshine and coffee in hand, I thought I would get my post up before heading to church.  My share today is a card I made for Made Especially for You weekly Challenge, week 3, make a card with 3 of something, so this week it is 3 flowers.

I took a weekly trip to Value Village, a local thrift store and found a wonder pad of black with white lines writing paper for .99 cents.  I so wanted to use this paper with something this week, so this is what I came up with.  I love the color combo, white, pink, black together.

I started with a light pink A2 card base.  I added the piece of 4" x 4" pink gingham pattern paper.  Cut a 2" x 4-1/2" strip of the black lined paper and a piece of jumbo pink ric rac.  I used my Cricut cartridge, Elegant Edges, pg. 23 <Scallop1> pink cardstock and <Scalop1-s> black cardstock, both cut at 3".  The roses where cut from my Flower Shoppe cartridge, pg. 12 <Basic1> cut at 3" using my black lined writing paper.  The Dragonfly and sentiment, both from Close to My Heart stamped in Memento, tuxedo black. I colored my dragonfly with Copic markers, cut out.  Layer all pieces as shown in the photo, working back to front.  My finishing touches, tiny adhesive pearls around the scallop, medium pearls inside the roses and down the right bottom edge of card.  And last of all, tied a black tulle bow.

Today is so beautiful and my hubby and will be taking a walk along Alki Beach and lunch at Spuds this afternoon after church.  So enjoy you day and be blessed.

Catch the Frenzy!
