A little vintage Santa

It's Tuesday and my day to share my Design Team card I made for Try Stampin' on Tuesday

This week is Sketch #97 (see sketch below)

I decided to use some scrap pattern paper from a previous project.
The colors were just screaming VINTAGE and I had the prefect vintage Santa image to use.

I started with a light tan A2 card
Layering olive paper on top of card, which I had distressed with an olive ink pad

Pattern paper from Carta Bella - Christmas Day, which is a double sided cardstock
I cut a banner for the striped side and cut a scalloped edge for the polka dot side

Stamp the vintage Santa image from Close to My Heart in Vineyard Berry ink onto light tan paper
Punch out the Santa image with 1-3/4" circle punch
Punch out a 2" circle from olive paper

I then stamped the Joy sentiment from My Favorite Things in Olive ink onto Olive paper
Punch the sentiment out using a 1" circle punch
I also cut the oblong image from Cricut - Elegant Edges page 27 at 3"

Layer all these pieces together as shown in the photo

I finished the card by adding Olive ribbon and tan adhesive pearls to the card.

Sketch #97

Please join us this week for our Sketch Challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday
I'd love to see what you come up with using this sketch for INSPIRATION!
and remeber to check out all the Design Team creation too!

  3. I love it when you can use left overs to create a cute card:) I love the little pearls you've added. You've done a great job - this is definately a style I shy away from.
